About Us
HVAC Institute was created when David and Kim decided to venture out on their own and designed a hands-on training school for the HVAC industry, where trainees and journeymen can receive a quality education.
The motivation is the industries need for skilled technicians and installers.
David has been a technician (and always will be) since 1978, and he started teaching in 1993. He is driven to provide electrical education that is “real world” application of electrical and mechanical code.
In 2017 David was voted the “Best Instructor Runner Up” in the nation.
Kim met David in 1979 and learned the industry by doing inventory on his work vehicles. She stayed home with their three kids until 2001 when she went to work for a HVAC wholesale supplier. They have two Great Danes, Cronus and Trinity.
